The Cottage

Here at the Ring of Bells we have five guest bedrooms available to hire on a bed and breakfast basis. All of the rooms are en suite, furnished with extremely comfortable Hypnos beds and include tea and coffee-making facilities. All of the below room rates are based on double occupancy. Pull out single beds can be provided in rooms 2 and 3 for one child aged 12 or under at a cost of £20 per night.

No need to book a table as we’ll assume you are dining with us, we try and update our menu on here regularly but there maybe a few daily changes and with everything made on site we occasionally stock out of some dishes. Check out our menus.

Cancellation policy as of 29 January, 2021. We will no longer be offering full refunds on bookings. Should you choose to book with us at this time of uncertainty and you are consequently unable to stay with us, we will send a voucher for the value of your booking less any nights we weren’t able to resell.

Room 1

Accessed from the main building via a spiral staircase this is a comfortable double room with a 150cm x 220cm King size bed. The bathroom is separated by a walk-in wardrobe area and has a low-line bath with shower above. The room is over the Bar so there is occasional noise transfer, although late nights in Devon are infrequent.

Unique feature is an eyebrow window that allows light in from the back of the building.

Room 2

Accessed from the main building via a steep 9 step staircase, this is our largest room with a 140cm x 200cm double bed and 120cm x 200cm (large single bed). This room is a perfect family to which extra beds can be added. The bathroom has a bath and separate walk in shower so will accommodate your personal preference.

Unique feature is the tadelakt plaster wall in the bathroom as well as having a view of the church from the bedroom window.

Room 3

Accessed from the same staircase as Room 2 (so if you want your own room with the children in room 2 ring to book room 3 and 2 together). Our best room for space, character and light with dual aspect. There is space to add an additional bed and a seating area as well. The bathroom has a large bath and walk in shower.

Unique features – Exposed fireplace, view of the garden and a window seat.

Room 4

Both rooms 4 and 5 are accessed via a staircase from outside the main building.

They have 150cm x 220cm King Size beds.They are 2 of our smaller rooms with walk in showers in the bathrooms. If you want your own area but 2 rooms then book rooms 4 & 5 together.
